Terms of Business

 

Returns/Refunds

 

Items specifically made to size or modified for an individual’s use cannot be returned. Goods which are found to be unsuitable must be returned within 14 days of receipt, unused and in original packaging, and a goodwill refund, exchange or credit note will be issued. The company, Stranraer Mobility reserves the option of charging a 25% restocking charge, plus vat where applicable. Refunds will usually be made within 10 working days. After 14 days goods will not be accepted for return unless deemed faulty, whereby a replacement will be offered or a refund will be given. Items returned as faulty after 30 days will be treated in accordance with the prevailing Consumer Rights Act Guidelines. There is a no returns policy on upholstered furniture unless there is an electrical or mechanical fault. In which case we would effect a repair and return. This does not affect your statutory rights.

 

Batteries

 

Mobility batteries are supplied fitted on day of sale and come pre-charged to approx 90% of capacity. It is the duty of the purchaser to charge batteries in accordance with the
information sheet supplied. A battery charging guide is available on request.

 

Quotations

 

Quotations will remain in force for 30 days from initiation. Extensions by agreement. Vat, where applicable, may alter, and will be charged at the rate applicable at time of sale.

 

Maintenance/Scooter Servicing

 

Routine Annual Maintenance, Servicing or repair of items sold by us, can be booked by calling us on 07501 724910 for an appointment. Consumables such as batteries, tyres or spare parts are also available. We will also service other manufacturers products not sold by us subject to parts availability. However, warranty repairs should be discussed with the supplying dealer first.

Should you require further clarification on any point, please contact us directly, and we will endeavour to assist and advise where the need arises. Delivery/Carriage

 

Large Items
Delivery of large items can be made by Stranraer Mobility within Wigtownshire.

 

Small to Medium Items
Small items up to 5kg (11lbs) will be sent via 48 hour courier service at a cost of £10. (Subject to change). Please call us on 07501 724910 if in need of advice. As Royal Mail rates may fluctuate, second class parcel post is used dependent on value.

 

Vat Relief

 

Certain items that we sell are eligible for VAT relief to those who are chronically sick or disabled. If claiming VAT relief, you must advise us at point of sale, where you can download our VAT relief form to read and understand. Alternatively, we can post a copy to you. If you feel you are eligible to claim VAT relief, we can accept the form on your behalf. Vat relief can only be applied on telephone orders where the company is delivering the goods directly to the end user. Warranty

 

Warranty for powered products is one year parts and labour, backed by the manufacturer and implemented by Stranraer Mobility. Cosmetic damage is not covered.
